When I was a wee lassie (more accurately, in my early teens), I used to watch a lot of cartoons, Saturday mornings or otherwise and inevitably developed a fixation on a number of characters ... Actually I'm in an image-download frenzy right now, and don't really feel like sharing my pathetic childhood stories ... I used to think that Goose was a really cool character ( and he still is!!!) and for some unfathomable reason, I had a major crush on Optimus Prime ... Kinda strange, isn't it? When other young teenage girls were fantasizing about their pop star idols, I was into cartoon characters, more specifically the alpha male/robotic kind ... Then I grew up, passed through high school scarred for life (just kidding), went to college and was about to graduate when I was introduced to the wonderful world of anime ... I wish I have an access to really awesome anime right now, and I did for a while ... Osaka to me has left a bittersweet aftereffect somewhere on the fringes of my memory ... The quest for the ultimate male role model continues as I plod on through this life, coming to terms with my existence ...

Erm, nothing much has changed in this respect, except that I haven't watched anime for some time now ... My mother now owns the Pay TV Provider, and with that, the number of channels has whittled down to the bare minimum ... Even if I wanted to, I no longer have access to Animax, among others ... For some weird reason, my mother has subscribed the movie channels (not the HD channels, though) ... I just don't understand my mother ... That has not changed since time immemorial ...
