Major Room Makeover! The Brainjuice Edition ...

Phase I

Before

 Well, the last time I had a room makeover was in 2005/2006, I think ... It wasn't so much of a room makeover than it was just a rearrangement of the furniture ... Well, since then, I have "sort of" accumulated a lot of junk, to the point that I'm thinking I may be a closet hoarder ... So much so that there are one too many boxes piling up in my room that it looks like an absolute revolting mess ... Behold the pictures below ...

Look at all that stuff cluttering the small coffee table ... I want all that cleared up so that the space is only exclusive for my net book and my breakfast/dinner/meal ...

The boxes don't look that big in this photo, but trust me, the space between them and the shoe rack next to the coffee table is pretty small that I have almost knocked myself over a couple times walking through it because of all these junk laying in between ... Sigh ... I am aiming to get rid of all those boxes once and for all ... The bookshelf will go into the next room and be replaced with the bookcase I got from IKEA, which is where I got the coffee table ...

The Dead Poet's Society and the Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade framed posters will have to go, I'm afraid ... I am not getting rid of them, but they will have to be in storage ... I'm replacing them with a new framed collection of movie posters of my DIT5 and one or two movies that have an early lasting impact on me ... As for the small framed picture, check this link to know what it is ... That will remain hung, except on a different wall ...

The IKEA shelving unit will be used for my upcoming entertainment system mainly and for some other stuff ... Not going to reveal everything as this is a BEFORE/AFTER effort, so you'll find out what that entertainment system is after and not before ...Going to put away all those framed cat photos away as well ...

After

Like I said, I aimed to get rid of the boxes, and I have, at least the big ones ... Space will be made available for at least one item of furniture that will be used to store all that junk properly ... Again, I'm not going to reveal what that is as this is an in-progress room makeover ... Hopefully, God-willing, I will everything in place by next month ...

Ah, now all my books are in one place ... One or two are still lying around somewhere ... In order to get all these books in one bookcase, I had to get rid of some ... Of course, I still keep books that have a sentimental value, like that Idiot's Guide to Windows, which I got way back in '93 when I first started using Windows ... That was 20 years ago, can you just imagine that? Time really does fly ... Why books and not all that junk? Simple really, books and clothes are wanted/needed ... Nobody needs junk, much less want them, except of course hoarders and closet hoarders like yours truly ... Most likely they will end up in some landfill, which is something that just pains me ... I sold all the books that I couldn't have space for at a second-hand book store ... Didn't make a profit, but it doesn't matter ... They will end up with people who will appreciate them, and that is what is matters ...

The next part of  Phase I is to get rid of the TV set and its stand ... And you go "WHAT? Brainjuice is stopping her life-support?? Is she out of her obviously barmy brain?" ... Listen, I did say I was getting an "entertainment system", I'm just not saying what that is ... You will just have to wait and see, heheheh ...
