I don't like seafood ...

Yes, I know seafood is a good source of Omega-3, calcium blah blah and all that, but a childhood incident has put me off seafood, specifically fish ... I choked on a bone ... It wasn't a major incident, because the bone was very small, but because of that tiny incident, I am not into fish, especially if they're prepared by my mother ... She likes to just cook the fish in curry or the like, without getting rid of the bones, and the fishy smell ... I can't stand the fishy smell ... The only fish dish that I will eat is Ikan Goreng Masak Cili ... Basically, fried fish covered in chilli ... You can't really find a photo of it online, so if my mother makes this dish again, I will take a photo and update it here ...

Anyway, there is one fish dish that I really like ... I only eat it as a treat, seeing as seafood is very expensive ... It's fish and chips at this particular establishment ...

The batter is just at the right kind of crispiness, and the fish tastes succulent and soft ... I don't know what is the sauce they drizzle on top of the fish, but it tastes nice ... Have you ever tried eating French fries with tartar sauce? If you have, I'm sure you know how good it tastes, right? I don't mind the salad, but I don't like the dressing ... I don't know what it is, but it's sweet and sour ... Why can't they just use olive oil? Maybe I should ask for that next time ...
Haha, this joke is so funny that I'm keeling over and rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off ...
Anyway, I don't like all other types of seafood either ... Except for that lobster dish I had a long time ago while I was working as a reporter and it was a company trip to Phuket ... Yeah, I seem to like succulent flesh in batter, for some reason ... Crab is not too bad, I think, but you have to crack it open and that's a lot of bother for me ... Otherwise, I stay away from fish, any other kinds of shellfish, oysters and the like ...
Alhamdulillah, during Ramadan, my mother made me the dish I mentioned above ... This is how it looks like ... Basically, this is the only fish dish that my mother makes that I like, because it doesn't smell, and the fish she chooses for this dish hardly any bones, and the chilli with the onions taste delish ...
