Well, I have been jogging on the weekends ... Not every Saturday or Sunday, but I try to commit ... My weight has stagnated, which, given the fact that I don't really care anymore, is good I guess ... The point of this post is just to update the crazy weirdos who read my blog of my progress to become a healthy person ...
I have found the sweet spot to do my jogging, and it so happens to be right in my backyard ... I have noticed the sports complex for several years now, but for some f**king reason, I have never bothered to look at it closely until a few months ago ... It has a field and track! For goodness sake, Brainjuice, are you blind or what??? ... I'm not sure whether the length of the complex's track is the same as a the track for an Olympic-sized stadium, but I think it might slightly shorter ... You be the judge ...
This track is as good as a treadmill ... One, it's flat ... Two, I can roughly estimate how many metres I have jogged by making several rounds ... Aaah, no, it's not even 5km, but I want to take it slow and easy ... With enough perseverance on my part, God-willing, I can become strong enough to enter one of those 5km runs one day ... The point is not to finish in the shortest time ... Point is to finish it ... Haven't you watched Run Fatboy Run? ...
I do see some progress ... I make more and more rounds and the time I make them becomes less and less ... I don't have a stopwatch, only a counter, just so I can track the rounds I make on the track ... As long as I get my body going, that is all that matters ...
But, there are days when I am unable to jog at the track because it is used for some sports event ... On these days, I find another spot to jog ... It's nearer to my place, but I still cycle to get to it ... Yes, I still use the bicycle, but I find jogging/running more of a calorie burner, not that I really care about burning calories ... Anyway, the spot I use to jog is rather secluded, which fits with me perfectly because I don't want to run into one of those runners with t-shirts that say "I finish the Manhattan Marathon" or shit like that ... I do see a couple of those people on the track, but I distract myself by looking at other joggers like myself, or the sky, or something ...
The spot is not as good as the track ... One, it's not quite flat ... Two, I can't roughly gauge how many metres I have jogged, even with the counter ... But, It will just have to do ... I only have to find the right days when the track is not used for some sports event ... Normally, it's a Sunday ...
