At long last ... After endless debating between the logic in my head and the fear in my heart, both sides finally came together and decided that in the long run, I don't have anything to lose when I self-publish my first novel ... Except for a rather large sum of money ... I don't see it as an investment ... More to the fact that I am tired of only daydreaming about possibilities ...
If you want to know my real name, just go to Amazon ... Perhaps you might even get a copy ... I don't know whether the content justifies the pricing of the novel, but this is something that I have absolute no control of ... I only had creative control, and that not even much ...
Beware though, that there are a number of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and whatnot mistakes in here ... Yes, there was a round of corrections during the pre-publishing state ... But, stupid me, I immediately emailed the manuscript after paying for the publishing package without doing a check, and thus the number of mistakes was more than the limit of the free corrections ... The thing is, I may have not noticed those mistakes if I was reading through my manuscript ... For some reason, I just cannot detect any mistakes until the thing I have written is in a different format and/or layout ... This is why, if you bother looking through my blogs, you will find numerous mistakes that an experienced writer of English could NOT possibly havemade ... (Case in point, I intentionally left that in) ... That is why every writer needs an editor BFF ... Actually, I have a copy editor friend who edited the previous version of Schizophonia ... Why didn't she edit the final version? Like I said, stupid me ...
Moving forward, I have a few story ideas, and working on all of them simultaneously ... I have completed a second novel, but I think it is a little too short and am now in the process of expanding it ... I've also made a number of book purchases for research and inspiration ...
Anywayz, I am glad I have published my first novel ... Now just hoping to see whether those possibilities will come true or not ...
It finally feels real ... I'm actually going to read it, even though I've read through it a thousand times ...
Btw, the previous iteration of Schizophonia is apparently still available online ... I Googled 'Schizophonia' and no results ... But when I Googled my name, lo and behold, there it is ... The publisher for that version has long since been out of commission, so I'm not sure who is handling the receipt of payments if ever anyone wants to buy a copy ... Anyway, for those who read this blog, I'd rather you purchase the latest version ... Thank you if you do purchase a copy ...
